Booking & Cancellation Policy 2022 - BC Clinics

WAIVERS:

Each guest will be required to sign a Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, Assumption of Risks and Indemnity Agreement prior to start of trip. Click here to view and fill in the online waiver at time of booking (link active Dec 1st).  Participants are required to inform Sweet Skills of any allergies, medical conditions or injuries that might affect their riding or health and any medications taken.

BOOKING:

Full payment is due at time of booking. Payments must be made by etransfer to sweetskills@shaw.ca. (if password is required, use your Transaction ID). US payment amounts must be confirmed in advance with Sweet Skills and payments are made by PayPal with any additional paypal service fees paid by participant.

Meeting locations and details will be emailed to participants within 2 weeks of start of lesson. 

All participants must complete the Covid-19 Self Assessment Tool and if answering yes to any questions, must communicate with Sweet Skills to arrange withdrawal from camp or clinic. See Sweet Skills Covid-19 protocols here.

CANCELLATIONS:

Guest Cancellation

Outside of 30 days: Payments made for any lesson outside of 30 days before the start date of your booking will be refunded less $25. Or transfer 100% of balance to another clinic during the current season. After which time it is not refundable.

Within 29-15 days: Payments made for any lesson cancelled between 29-15 days of the start date of your booking will be refunded less 50% of the total fees paid. Or transfer 100% of balance to another clinic during the current season. After which time it is not refundable.

Within 14-0 days: Payments made for any lesson cancelled within 14 days of the start date of your lesson are non-refundable and no credit is available for future lessons. If Sweet Skills is able to fill your spot you will receive a refund less 50% of fees paid or a 75% credit towards another clinic within the current season. After which time it is not refundable.

Covid-19 Symptoms:
In the event that a guest experiences or presents with COVD-19 symptoms, as per our COVID-19 policy – and it is unsafe for them to participate in the camp. They may use 100% of their credit to reschedule for another date, or receive a full refund minus 10% of the payments received.

Trip Cancellation Insurance:
Our guest cancellation policy is firm and we recommend you purchase a trip interruption/cancellation insurance policy to avoid disappointment should you need to cancel your trip last minute. Travel insurance can be purchased through World Nomads, Lifestyle Financials, or your travel agent.

Sweet Skills Cancellation

Sweet Skills reserves the right to cancel or adjust a reservation at any time due to minimum participation requirements not being met, or any other circumstance that arises. Should Sweet Skills need to cancel or reschedule your reservation you will be offered 100% credit to reschedule for another date, or option of a full refund.

Cancellations due to a 3rd Party/Unforeseen Circumstances:

Should your booking need to be cancelled due to extenuating circumstances beyond our control, including (but not limited to): border closures, government-initiated shutdowns due to a pandemic or wildfire, extreme weather which is deemed by Sweet Skills to be a safety issue. Sweet Skills may offer you a 100% credit to reschedule for another date, or give you the option of a full refund minus 10% of the deposit paid.

ITINERARY CHANGES:
Every attempt will be made to adhere to our scheduled itinerary, we do not plan to make changes ahead of time. However, participants acknowledge and willingly accept the possibility of unexpected changes to our route, timings and itinerary. Safety issues, weather and/or any extenuating circumstances beyond our control may contribute to this possibility. Should these changes affect your pre and/or post-tour travel plans, Sweet Skills will not be responsible for additional expenses incurred by guests (non-refundable airline tickets, rental cars, hotel reservations, etc.). We recommend you have purchased your own trip insurance policy.

AGE:
Minimum required age is 18 for our camps and clinics. Requests can be made on a case-by-case basis. It’s recommended for youth between the ages of 14 and 18 to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

ABILITY LEVEL:
Participants are asked to read and understand the ability level required for the trip and ensure they are well suited for the demands of the trip. Participants are strongly advised to follow our pre-trip fitness training recommendations. A booking questionnaire will be filled out at time of booking asking specific questions relating to biking experience and fitness, we ask that you fill this out completely and honestly so we can ensure you are signed up for the right trip.
