Chilcotins Explorer Camp 2022 #1

Chilcotins Explorer Camp 2022 #1

Have you always wanted to explore the backcountry and test yourself with some longer rides? Then this camp is for you! Sweet Skills and Tyax Adventures have collaborated again for the 7th year with women’s camp offerings and are excited to take you into the backcountry!

Intermediate riders will have the opportunity to experience riding and overnighting in the backcountry, while enjoying some of the best trails the Chilcotins has to offer.

IMG 6064We’ll take a scenic float plane ride to start the trip to the beautiful Warner lake. From here the backcountry adventure begins! 3 days of riding and improving your skills along singletrack that offers stunning views, flowery meadows, technical riding, and some fun flowy sections. An alpine adventure with some hike-a-bike is in store for our 2nd day where we’ll crest a mountain pass with some of the best views of the South Chilcotins Mountains. Our 3rd days ride we are rewarded with the signature rolling singletrack that this area is known for as we descend back into the valley bottom – still some climbs and technical challenges along the way.

IMG 6327One of the highlights is spending 2 nights at the backcountry cabin at Spruce Camp. Let yourself settle into the wilderness, relax by the campfire, take a swim in the lake, or a short hike up the hill to soak in even more views, and enjoy the stary skies. All the while yummy meals are being prepared for you so all you have to worry about is having fun and riding your bike. This trip will be the highlight of your summer!!

Suitable for all levels of intermediate riders. Expect to ride for 4-6 hrs each day, trails have some technical challenges and will involve some steeper hill climbs with some hike-a-bike sections, so a strong base of fitness and technical skills are required.
