Chilcotins Alpine Adventure Camp 2022 #2

Chilcotins Alpine Adventure Camp 2022 #2

The Alpine Adventure Camp is well suited to the fit adventurous rider who wants to push themselves a little further and experience more wilderness and more adventure! The rewards are high as we reach some of the most spectacular terrain in the South Chilcotins Park. Sweet Skills & Tyax Adventures have collaborated for their 7th year to offer women's only backcountry experiences.

This unique opportunity to ride hut to hut with experienced coaches and guides is truly unparalleled and offered nowhere else in Canada. We’ll be on our bikes for longer days as we uncover the magic of the Chilcotins. Pedal and hike-a-bike over remote mountain passes, enjoy incredible views as we roll through vast meadows and signature rolling single track with some technically challenging sections.

windy downTo start the adventure, our group is dropped off by floatplane at Lorna Lake - one of the most beautiful alpine lakes around! From here we ride further into the wilderness to wide open valleys, gorgeous peaks, and flowing streams. At the end of day 1 we make our way up and over a mountain pass and enjoy a fun downhill right into camp. Your 2nd day will be another great adventure up another mountain pass as we ride, push, and cheer each other to the top. Be rewarded with one of the funnest and longest descents in the area! Day 3 will offer more descending than climbing as we make our way down the valley and enjoy some flowy trails with shorter climbs than the other 2 days. Chill out in the camps with new friends at the end of the day recounting the highlights and taking in the fresh mountain views.

IMG 3056This camp is geared towards strong intermediate and advanced riders looking for a little more adventure and longer days. Expect to ride for 4-8 hrs each day, trails have some technical challenges and will involve some steeper hill climbs with hike-a-bike sections. This is our most challenging camp with the most vertical gain, technical trails and long days.
