Are you ready to get into the nitty gritty details and set the foundation for a season’s worth of lightbulb moments?
Delve into the fundamentals of your riding position and fine tune your technical bike handling skills in this full day clinic. Candace and Laurie are teaming up for this incredible day where their goal is to get you through trail features with control, confidence, and a big smile on your face!
This clinic will open up the doors in expanding the trails your ride, as well as adding new friends to ride them with. Learn techniques that will help you LOVE rock rolls, create and manage speed strategically, understand the process, and trust yourself. You will also learn tips on cornering and technical climbing.
The day will include; skill work in a controlled-environment, a locally-sourced picnic lunch, and an afternoon instructional ride on trail. Followed up by some well earned après at RMU complete with draw prizes!
Great for any Intermediate level rider who is already comfortable on most Lost Lake trails, and looking to conquer the steeper rock rolls. Trails will be chosen according to ability, with a focus on the Lost Lake and Cut Yer Bars areas.

MEET UP LOCATION:
Meet up location details and reminder on what to bring will be sent out at least 1 week in advance by email.
Participants will be grouped together by their ability level. The questionnaire that you fill out during registration will guide us on where to place you. We do our best to match similar levels together, but given the nature of the sport there will always be some differences in ability and fitness levels within every group. These differences can offer a great opportunity to peer learn – the most advanced rider can always benefit from ‘slowing down and getting back to basics’ and a less experienced rider can progress from riding with more advanced riders in a supportive environment.
Bike: All-mountain or XC bike in good working order. Protective Gear/Attire: The following is mandatory for this clinic; helmet, knee pads, and full finger gloves. Elbow pads, and other protective gear not listed above are optional. We highly recommend dressing in appropriate bike clothes for the weather that day, and packing/wearing extra layers just in case – we ride rain or shine! Participants must also also have a multi-tool to repair anything on their bike as well as tube, tire levers and pump. *Please ride in shoes/compatible pedals that you normally ride in – this is not the time to be learning a new system. For example learning to ride clipped in or vice versa.
We will provide you with a locally sourced packed lunch- sandwich, snack, fruit and a Bucha Brew kambucha. Please make sure you fill in your dietary requirements on the registration form. Bring enough water to last the whole day, and extra snacks if you think you might need them!
Each guest will be required to sign a Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, Assumption of Risks and Indemnity Agreement at time of registration, prior to start of trip.
