Sunpeaks Women’s DH Camp
Sunpeaks Women’s DH Camp
July 8 @ 10:00 am - July 9 @ 4:00 pm
Sun Peaks Resort is a fantastic gem nestled in the mountains 45 minutes away from Kamloops. The cute little village has a ton to offer and the Bike Park even more. In fact the bike park saw a big revamp in 2022 making it the riders choice in BC!
From flowy machine made trails with table top jumps and berms to legendary technical singletrack – the Sweet Skills coaches will have you honing in your DH skills to conquer it all. Each day will begin with skills and drills and after a lunch break we will take what we learned and put it all into practice on the trails.
This weekend is great for any intermediate to advanced rider looking to either get air for the first time or refine their current air skills. There will be groups for every level, from those who have never had their wheels off the ground, to those who send it regularly!
*see trip itinerary for details on how each day is structured

Day 1 will be spent dialing in a solid body position, learning how to scan through the corners and stick to your line. Next up is getting your wheels in the air – woohoo! Learn the body position and timing for pumping and popping to get those wheels off the ground and then over tabletop jumps.
Day 2 will be all about learning drops and tech for a super well-rounded bike park experience! Our coaches will teach you how to send that front wheel ahead of you for the drops and land smooth and ready for the next move. To cap it off we will put it all together -jumps, berms, tech, and flow all while we hoot and holler down your favourite trail. Lots of high fives to be had with the friends you came with and the ones you met – this is a weekend for the books!
Bike: Down Hill or Enduro in good working order with 150mm+ of travel. Protective Gear/Attire: The following is mandatory for this clinic; Full face helmet, eye protection, knee pads, elbow pads and full finger gloves. We highly recommend dressing in appropriate bike clothes for the weather that day, and packing/wearing extra layers just in case. Participants must also also have a multi-tool to repair anything on their bike as well as tube, tire levers and pump. *Please ride in shoes/compatible pedals that you normally ride in – this is not the time to be learning a new system. For example learning to ride clipped in or vice versa. Food/Water: Please pack a lunch, lots of snacks and enough water to sustain you through 6 hours on your bike.
Lift tickets to the bike park are not included in the camp price and need to be purchased separately. Please purchase before hand at Sun Peaks Bike Park Day Tickets
Lodging is not provided but discounts are available through Bear Country Vacation Rentals and Sunpeaks Grand Hotel Coupon codes will be emailed to all registrants.
Participants will be grouped together by their ability level. The questionnaire that you fill out during registration will guide us on where to place you. We do our best to match similar levels together, but given the nature of the sport there will always be some differences in ability and fitness levels within every group. These differences can offer a great opportunity to peer learn – the most advanced rider can always benefit from ‘slowing down and getting back to basics’ and a less experienced rider can progress from riding with more advanced riders in a supportive environment.
Each guest will be required to sign a Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, Assumption of Risks and Indemnity Agreement at time of registration, prior to start of trip. Click here to view and fill in the online waiver at time of booking. Only one waiver per season needs to be filled out (if you’re doing more than 1 event with us). Participants are required to inform Sweet Skills of any allergies, medical conditions or injuries that might affect their riding or health and any medications taken.
Minimum required age is 18 for our camps and clinics. Requests can be made on a case-by-case basis. It’s recommended for youth between the ages of 14 and 18 to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
