SUMMARY:Peru Andes Fall Adventure - Co-ed
DESCRIPTION:Join Sweet Skills and Big Mountain Bike Adventures for a once-in-a-lifetime mountain bike adventure in Peru! This bucket list MTB trip combines high-altitude singletrack\, vibrant local culture\, and world-renowned cuisine – all wrapped into 8 unforgettable days of riding and exploration. \nThe best way to explore the terrain in Peru is by bike! The raw and rugged mountain bike trails descend from the high alpine to the Sacred Valley\, weaving past Inca ruins\, rural villages\, and ancient footpaths. Expect long descents\, technical sections\, and jaw-dropping views—with plenty of time to soak up the atmosphere (and the altitude!). This trip is designed for strong intermediate to advanced women riders looking for a unique blend of adventure\, culture\, and skill progression. \nThe journey begins in the historic high-mountain city of Cusco before heading to a private lodge in the lush Sacred Valley – complete with a chef\, garden\, hammocks\, and epic mountain views. You’ll also visit Machu Picchu\, enjoy a home-cooked meal with a local family\, and maybe even ride alongside alpacas at 4\,300m! \nINCLUDED\n\nSweet Skills coaching along with expert local guiding (Spanish and English speaking)\nThree-star hotel accommodation & deluxe private lodge (with private chef)\nMachu Picchu day: return scenic train (90 mins each way)\, return bus transfer and private guided tour of site.\nAll breakfasts\, all lunches & five dinners\nSnacks and filtered water in shuttle van\nCusco airport transfers on scheduled days\nPrivate transportation and all shuttles during the trip\nDetailed pre-departure information and trip extension assistance from Big Mountain Bike Adventures\n\nTHE RIDING\nEvery day starts with a shuttle up through the mountains and villages. There may be 1-3 shuttles throughout the day. If you’re not a fan of shuttles… you will be here! The elevation is between 3500-4500m and it’s quite hard to put in any effort to say the least. Some days will still have some minor uphill components. The terrain vary from technical and rocky to flowy and smooth\, sometimes on ancient inca trails with stairs to ride and through pasture lands and eucalyptus forests in the valley. We’ll ride along some exposed trails and more technically challenging sections so the level required is upper intermediate to advanced technical rider. \n Video from Elladee Brown’s 2020 trip \nSkill & Fitness Level:\nSkill Level: IA-A  Fitness Level 4-6  This camp is a great fit for strong intermediate to advanced riders who love descending and technical trails. The riding will take us along some exposed trails\, old chunky stairs\, steeper sections with off-camber\, along with lots of traversing around hillsides and some Peruvian flow. In total we’ll be descending over 12\,000M\, this is a lot of descending in a week! Experience riding long technical downhills for consecutive days is a great asset. Riders should be comfortable riding black diamond trails (BC rated). If you are unsure if your fitness level and ability match this camp\, please call Sylvie to discuss: 604-966-8330. \nPRICE\n$3395 USD *Payments go to Big Mountain Bike Adventures (our partner for this trip) \nMaximum 12 riders with 1 Sweet Skills coach and 2 local guides \nHOW TO BOOK\nRegistration will open Fall 2026 – let us know you’re keen by filling in the form below and we’ll keep you in the loop for registration day!
