SUMMARY:Finale Italy Dolce Vita Retreat - Women's only
DESCRIPTION:Dates are TBD as this is a custom trip only. \nJoin us for some Italian Riviera paradise! Thrilling rides\, delicious cuisine\, and Dolce Vita moments. Create a custom trip for you and your friends! \nTucked up along the Italian Riviera just down from Monaco is the spectacular coastal mountain region of Finale Ligure. The area is known for its white sandy beaches\, delicious authentic cuisine\, picturesque little towns overlooking the Mediterranean – and of course it’s massive network of trails. We’ve aptly named this trip Dolce Vita which means the sweet life\, and we plan to deliver this every day of the trip! We are so excited for this annual adventure and our partnership with Big Mountain Bike Adventures. \nEnjoy a buffet of the region’s best enduro rides\, Italian cuisine\, lodging steps from the beach\, and an authentic cooking class to give our bodies a break from all the riding. Sweet Skills will be coaching alongside with Big Mountain’s local guide Louise who is originally from Sweden and the 2019 EWS World Master Champion\, mother of two\, and a fantastic host. \nImprove your skills over the 6 days as we ride and explore an endless network of mindblowing trails. The riding is mostly enduro\nstyle where we’ll be enjoying daily shuttles up the famously long trails in the area – there are over 250 trails to choose from! The terrain suits a strong intermediate to advanced level as there is a lot of challenging technical sections. Mixed in with the technical singletrack are natural berms and fun flowy sections in Europe’s biggest beech forest. \nEach day brings the opportunity to enjoy post-ride swims in the Mediterranean\, a wander through the old town’s cobblestone streets\, endless gelato or simply kicking back in the Finale Ligure’s main piazza and watch the world go by. \nINCLUDED:\n\nSweet Skills coaching along with expert local guiding\n6 nights seaside hotel accommodation (based on double occupancy)\nAll breakfasts\, 6 lunches & 3 dinners\nAuthentic Italian cooking class & organic farm tour (on our off day)\nNice\, France airport pick-up & drop-off on scheduled days\nPrivate transportation and all shuttles\nDetailed pre-departure information and trip extension assistance from Big Mountain Bike Adventures\nSwag from Big Mountain and Sweet Skills\n\nTHE RIDING\nThere’s an incredible 250 trails in and around the Finale area! Expect rockier conditions on the coastal trails with fixed and loose rock\, switchback corners\, rock gardens and steep sections. Inland trails start at a higher elevation and offer more flow along with rocky and rooty sections and rolling drops. These are all fairly long downhhill trails.. so fun! Most trails are in forested areas on this trip and are downhill/ enduro style and accessed by shuttle vehicle with some short climbs. With exception of our first warm up ride on Day 1 which will have a 300m climb before the descent (no shuttle). We’ll be treated to 1 adventure day where we’ll explore another riding area outside of Finale. Mid-day lunches are worth the trip alone! Pasta and espresso will fuel the rest of your riding day! \n  \nSKILL & FITNESS LEVEL:\nSkill Level: IA-A  Fitness Level 4+ This trip is open to strong intermediate to advanced technical riders\, the terrain is quite rocky and technical\, riders should be able to ride light black BC trails with loose rock and have 5+ years riding experience. The elevation is between 3500-4500m and it’s quite hard to put in any effort to say the least. Some days will still have some minor uphill components. \nThe terrain vary from technical and rocky to flowy and smooth\, sometimes on ancient inca trails with stairs to ride and through pasture lands and eucalyptus forests in the valley. Many of the trails were old walking paths linking villages so they are quite ‘raw’\, not mountain bike specific and in this way they can be a bit more challenging than manicured North American trails. The terrain is ever-changing as we descend through different climate zones. \nThe trails in Peru are not purpose-built for mountain biking\, which creates a raw and authentic riding experience that can be more demanding than manicured North American trails. \nSkill & Fitness Level\n\nSkill Level: Intermediate-Advanced to Advanced (IA–A) Fitness Level: 4–6 \nThis camp is well-suited for strong intermediate to advanced riders who love descending technical terrain and have experience riding black diamond trails (BC-rated). Are confident with exposure\, stairs\, off-camber sections\, and rocky lines. Can ride long\, technical downhills for several consecutive days. \nIn total\, more than 12\,000 meters of descending will be completed over the course of the trip. Riders should be in strong riding shape and mentally prepared for varied terrain and long days in the saddle. \nNot sure if this is the right fit?Contact Sylvie at 604-966-8330 to discuss your skill and fitness level. \nPrice\n$3\,695 USDA 25% deposit is required to reserve your spot. All payments are handled by Big Mountain Bike Adventures (our official partner). \nMax 12  / 2 guides / 1 Sweet Skills Coach \n*One more spot left! Once we get 3 on waitlist we can open up those spots. \n\n🎥 Video from our 2020 trip
