Improve your fitness and skills just in time for summer with this 4 week progressive clinic. Enjoy Pemberton’s great early season riding conditions with tacky trails, fun features, and amazing views. Our all-star team of Sweet Skills female coaches will get you pumped for biking and the season to come!
Every week will focus on a new skill. This will be a mix of learning/practicing skills and maneuvers in off trail open areas, as well as on trail sessioning/riding. Each session builds on what you’ve learned from week to week and explores new zones and trails. Between sessions, we’ll assign you some fun ‘trail homework’ to help with cardio and skill development. Expand your trail network, boost your confidence, and meet more people to ride with!
This clinic is for the Int/Advanced rider. You should be comfortable riding blue trails and are have started to ride some black trails in Pemberton, and are wanting to work on the harder features on the black trails. Trail choices will depend on the group, but in general the IntAdvanced group will head to trails such as: No Err, Blood Sweat Fear, Mission, Bob Gnarly, MooseJah, Pioneer, etc

MEET UP LOCATION:
Meet up spot and reminder details on what to bring will be sent out at least 1 week in advance by email.
GROUPS:
Participants will be grouped together by their ability level in cases where we are more than 1 coach. The questionnaire that you fill out during registration will guide us on where to place you. Please sign up for the appropriate clinic for your ability and don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions. We do our best to match similar levels together, but given the nature of the sport there will always be some differences in ability and fitness levels within every group. These differences can offer a great opportunity to peer learn – the most advanced rider can always benefit from ‘slowing down and getting back to basics’ and a less experienced rider can progress from riding with more advanced riders in a supportive environment.
GEAR NEEDED:
Bike: All-mountain or XC bike in good working order. Ebikes are allowed at this clinic, however if you have both please ride your regular Mnt bike. If riding an Ebike make note of it during your registration. Protective Gear/Attire: The following is mandatory for this clinic; helmet, knee pads, and full finger gloves. Elbow pads, and other protective gear not listed above are optional. We highly recommend dressing in appropriate bike clothes for the weather that day, and packing/wearing extra layers just in case – we ride rain or shine! Participants must also also have a multi-tool to repair anything on their bike as well as tube, tire levers and pump. *Please ride in shoes/compatible pedals that you normally ride in – this is not the time to be learning a new system. For example learning to ride clipped in or vice versa.
