May 3, 2025 @ 9:00 am - May 4, 2025 @ 2:00 pm
Check back Winter 2025 for May 2025 dates!
Want to flow through those techy Crawford trails and be more in control of your bike? How about improving your speed and cornering on those fast flowy Smith trails? We’re excited to offer this 2-day program for 2024!
Take your riding to the next level by increasing your confidence with a few extra skills in your back pocket. This 2 day camp will cover all the essential fundamentals and maneuvers for riders who are stronger intermediates (or what we call IntermediateAdvance) to advanced. You’ll be learning it all! – Rock slabs, loose descents, and small drops are just some of the features we’ll work along with all the essentials in both locations.
We’ll review tons of skills in the morning to make sure we have a solid baseline to progress from. We’ll then take the basic fundamentals of riding and fine tune our technique to allow us to ride at a more advanced level. Working on our body position, braking on loose terrain, brake control on rock faces, slow rolling drops, to learning to do those drops with air are just some of the things this clinic will tackle.
Bring all these new skills into the trails for the 2nd part of the afternoon session where we’ll look at line choice, timing, and when to put our new moves into action. Lots of fun techy features to practice along the way!
This clinic is great for the IntermediateAdvance to Advanced rider wanting to learn how to carry more speed on the trail and incorporate small airs on harder blue and black trails.
Be ready for a full day of riding, bring a lunch & snacks, lots of water, appropriate clothing, and all of the energy 😉

Day 1 Crawford Trails: 9am-3pm
Day 2 Smith Creek Trails: 9am-2pm
MEET UP LOCATION:
Meet up spot will be at the picnic table at the entrance to the trails just above the parking lots at Crawford trailhead for Day 1 and at the main Smith Creek trails parking lot for Day 2. Exact location and reminder details on what to bring will be sent out at least 1 week in advance by email.
GROUPS:
Participants will be grouped together by their ability level. The questionnaire that you fill out during registration will guide us on where to place you. We do our best to match similar levels together, but given the nature of the sport there will always be some differences in ability and fitness levels within every group. These differences can offer a great opportunity to peer learn – the most advanced rider can always benefit from ‘slowing down and getting back to basics’ and a less experienced rider can progress from riding with more advanced riders in a supportive environment.
GEAR NEEDED:
Bike: All-mountain or XC bike in good working order. Sorry no Ebikes allowed at this clinic. Protective Gear/Attire: The following is mandatory for this clinic; helmet, knee pads, and full finger gloves. Elbow pads, and other protective gear not listed above are optional. We highly recommend dressing in appropriate bike clothes for the weather that day, and packing/wearing extra layers just in case – we ride rain or shine! Participants must also also have a multi-tool to repair anything on their bike as well as tube, tire levers and pump. *Please ride in shoes/compatible pedals that you normally ride in – this is not the time to be learning a new system. For example learning to ride clipped in or vice versa.
LUNCH:
Lunch is not provided so please bring your lunch, enough water for the day and snacks to keep you energized. We’ll be taking a lunch break close to the parking lot so you can keep your lunch in your car in a cooler.
WAIVERS:
Each guest will be required to sign a Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, Assumption of Risks and Indemnity Agreement at time of registration, prior to start of trip. Click here to view and fill in the online waiver at time of booking. Participants are required to inform Sweet Skills of any allergies, medical conditions or injuries that might affect their riding or health and any medications taken.
