Are you fairly new to the world of mountain biking and eager to build your skills and confidence from the ground up? Join Sweet Skills for a full day of immersive instruction and riding that will ignite your passion for the sport.
Led by our experienced and supportive female coaches, this clinic is designed to equip you with the fundamental skills and knowledge you need to thrive on the trails. Throughout the day, you’ll receive personalized guidance as we cover everything from bike setup to technique along with a lot of on-trail sessioning and riding.
The morning kicks off with focused practice of fundamental bike skills in an open area. Here, you’ll master essential skills such as maintaining stable body positioning, utilizing gears and brakes effectively, navigating corners and obstacle, and most importantly how to relax and have fun!
After a quick lunch, we’ll hit the trails and put your learning into action with time to session technical portions of the trail, cheering fellow riders along the way.
After the exhilaration of riding and accomplishments, we’ll wind down and have an hour to review some basic bike maintenance skills to complete your toolbox of knowledge.
This clinic is aimed at Beginner to BegIntermediate riders who can comfortably ride level pedals on crushed gravel and easy singletrack trails and looking to improve their skills on more technical trails. Whether you’re brand new to the technical or just starting to get into it we’ll have a group for you.
*Includes an alcohol free casual apres. Lunch is not included. Please come prepared with lunch, snacks and water to fuel your day.

MEET UP LOCATION:
Meet up spot and reminder details on what to bring will be sent out at least 1 week in advance by email.
GROUPS:
Participants will be grouped together by their ability level in cases where we are more than 1 coach. The questionnaire that you fill out during registration will guide us on where to place you. Please sign up for the appropriate clinic for your ability and don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions. We do our best to match similar levels together, but given the nature of the sport there will always be some differences in ability and fitness levels within every group. These differences can offer a great opportunity to peer learn – the most advanced rider can always benefit from ‘slowing down and getting back to basics’ and a less experienced rider can progress from riding with more advanced riders in a supportive environment.
GEAR NEEDED:
Bike: All-mountain or XC bike in good working order. Ebikes are allowed at this clinic, however if you have both please ride your regular Mnt bike. If riding an Ebike make note of it during your registration. Protective Gear/Attire: The following is mandatory for this clinic; helmet, knee pads, and full finger gloves. Elbow pads, and other protective gear not listed above are optional. We highly recommend dressing in appropriate bike clothes for the weather that day, and packing/wearing extra layers just in case – we ride rain or shine! Participants must also also have a multi-tool to repair anything on their bike as well as tube, tire levers and pump. *Please ride in shoes/compatible pedals that you normallyride in – this is not the time to be learning a new system. For example learning to ride clipped in or vice versa.
