Silverstar DH Camp – Women’s

Silverstar DH Camp – Women’s

July 19, 2025 @ 10:00 am - July 20, 2025 @ 4:00 pm

Free

We can’t wait to come back to Silverstar in July 2025 – dates will be confirmed early 2025, with registration starting Feb 15th.

Silverstar women’s downhill camp is one of our favourite weekends of the year! We’re stoked to have you join us for this fun and positive experience whether you’re a first timer to the park or a seasoned jumper progressing your skills.

Hone in your downhill skills on bermed corners, tabletops, drops, and tech. Fly away from this camp with tons more technique for the moves that will have you flowing through the park with confidence and grinning ear to ear.

Day 1 will be spent dialing in a solid body position, learning how to scan through the corners and stick to your line. Next up is getting your wheels in the air – woohoo! Learn the body position and timing for pumping and popping to get those wheels off the ground and then over tabletop jumps. Celebrate your day with an apres social at 5:30pm.

Day 2 we will  focus on learning drops and tech for a super well-rounded bike park experience. Our coaches will teach you how to send that front wheel ahead of you for the drops and land smooth and ready for the next move. We finish up by putting it all together -jumps, berms, tech, and flow all while we hoot and holler down your favourite trail.

This weekend is great for any intermediate to advanced rider no matter your bike park experience. There’ll be groups for every level coached by our awesome Level 2 coaches,  for those who have never had their wheels off the ground, to those who send it regularly!

    GEAR NEEDED:

Bike: Down Hill or Enduro in good working order with 150mm+ of travel.  Protective Gear/Attire: The following is mandatory for this clinic; Full face helmet, eye protection, knee pads, elbow pads and full finger gloves.  We highly recommend dressing in appropriate bike clothes for the weather that day, and packing/wearing extra layers just in case.  Participants must also also have a multi-tool to repair anything on their bike as well as tube, tire levers and pump.  *Please ride in shoes/compatible pedals that you normally ride in – this is not the time to be learning a new system. For example learning to ride clipped in or vice versa. Food/Water: Please pack a lunch, lots of snacks and enough water to sustain you through 6 hours on your bike.

    LIFT TICKETS:

Lift tickets to the bike park are not included in the camp price and need to be purchased separately. *Discount code will be provided upon sign up. Please purchase before hand SilverStar Bike Park Day Passes

    LODGING:

Lodging is not provided but can be booked through the SilverStar  Central Reservations. *Discount code will be provided upon sign up.

    GROUPS:

Participants will be grouped together by their ability level.  The questionnaire that you fill out during registration will guide us on where to place you.  We do our best to match similar levels together, but given the nature of the sport there will always be some differences in ability and fitness levels within every group.  These differences can offer a great opportunity to peer learn – the most advanced rider can always benefit  from ‘slowing down and getting back to basics’ and a less experienced rider can progress from riding with more advanced riders in a supportive environment.

    WAIVERS:

Each guest will be required to sign a Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, Assumption of Risks and Indemnity Agreement at time of registration, prior to start of trip. Click here to view and fill in the online waiver at time of booking.  Only one waiver per season needs to be filled out (if you’re doing more than 1 event with us). Participants are required to inform Sweet Skills of any allergies, medical conditions or injuries that might affect their riding or health and any medications taken.

    AGE:

Minimum required age is 18 for our camps and clinics. Requests can be made on a case-by-case basis. It’s recommended for youth between the ages of 14 and 18 to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
